Dr. Yvonne Mensah
Dr. Yvonne Mensah was first introduced to Chiropractic during her athletic career. She was an elite Track and Field athlete that competed for the University of Illinois on a full Athletic Scholarship. Following her collegiate career, Dr. Yvonne went on to become the Canadian 400m Hurdle champion in 2008, winning the 2008 Olympic Trials. Her career was cut short due to a knee injury, which is what ultimately led Dr. Yvonne to graduate from Parker University in Dallas, Texas, and begin a career in Chiropractic.
Dr. Yvonne’s passion for Chiropractic initially developed around understanding the role of the nervous system with regards to the biomechanics of the body. Due to the abrupt end of her athletic career, Dr. Yvonne is very dedicated to providing young athletes the best opportunity to have happy, healthy athletic careers. She spent a large part of her Chiropractic internship working with young athletes at Vitality Sports Medicine in Dallas Texas performing Chiropractic care, rehabilitation and injury prevention. As her chiropractic career evolved, she began to dedicate her focus on complete family wellness and has become devoted to providing families with a holistic approach to complete heath and well-being. Dr. Yvonne Mensah continues to further her education as she is currently completing her post graduate certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
